Abstract

Objective:To observe the curative effect of rosiglitazone combined with metformin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.Methods:64 outpatients corresponding to type 2 diabetes were divided into two groups at random, with 32 cases in each group. The treatment group(group A) was treated with rosigilitazone tablets 4 mg orally once a day and metformin tablets 0.25 g three times a day, while the control group(group B) with metformin tablets 0.5g three times a day.The course of treatment in both groups was six weeks. Results:In group A,the blood glucose of the patients was changed before meal and two hours after meal compared with that of the patients before clinical observation, with significant difference(P0.05).However,there was no any change im group B(P0.05).Conclusion:The curative effect of rosiglitazone combined with melformin is far better than that only with metformin in type 2 diabetes.
