Abstract

Objective To valuate the therapeutic effect of Younilong (recombinant human interferonα-2b for injection) on patients with chronic hepatitis B. Methods 128 cases were randomly divided into treatment group consisted of 70 patients all intramuscularly given Younilong 300MU every other day for a course of three months and the control group consisted of 58 patients all intramuscularly given Younilong 300MU plus Yuancesu every other day for a course of three months. Results Three months after treatment the normalized rates of ALT and AST in treatment group were 68.65% and 61.19%, respectively and 64.71% and 58.82% in control group; the negative conversion rates of HBeAg and HBV-DNA in treatment group were 20.89% and 40.00%, respectively and 21.56% and 28.57% in the control group. The complete response rate and total effective rate in the treatment group were 8.57% and 60.00% and 8.62% and 55.81% in the control group. No significant differences in therapeutic effect were observed in the groups. Conclusion Younilong is as effective and safe as Yuancesu for treatment of patients with chronic hepatitis B.
