Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect ofα-interferon in combination with Huganning tablet on chronic hepatitis B patients. Methods Sixty-two chronic hepatitis B patients with positive HBsAg, HBeAg and HBV-DNA were divided into observation group consisted of 34 patients treated with α-interferon in combination with Huganning tablet and control group treated with α-interferon. The α-interferon was intramuscularly given with the dose of 5×106u,three times/day for course of 6 months and Huganning was orally given with the dose of 4 grains X3 times/day for a duration of 3 months. The results were analyzed after completion the experiment. Results The total effective rate in the observation group was 91.2% and 71.4% in the control group, showing a significant difference between the two groups (P0.05). The negative conversion rates for HBeAg and HBV-DNA in the observation groups were 60.7% and 60.0% superior to the control group. Conclusion The therapeutic effect in the observation group is superior to the control group with less adversary effect.
