Abstract
Objective To study the effect of taurine on the ability of anti lipid peroxidation of rabbit with IRI(ischemia reperfusion injury). Methods The rabbits were randomly divided into control group and taurine injection group.Hemorrhagic shock model was created according to improved Wigger's method. The content of SOD and MDA in blood serum was measured before hemorrhagic shock,2h after that and 0.5,1,2h after reperfusion respectively. Results The SOD level of taurine group was higher than that of control group at 0.5h and 1h after reperfusion. The MDA level of taurine group was lower than control group at all periods of time after reperfusion. Conclusion Taurine has anti ISR effect and can restrain lipid peroxidation. The effect is related to the rise of endogenetic SOD activity.
