Abstract
The Tongling mining camp in the mid-lower Yangtze River metallogenic zone has been one of hot spots for study at home and abroad for a long time, which mostly focused on minerals of Cu, Au, S and Fe, with less report on Pb and Zn. The Zhangjiachong Pb-Zn ore deposit, Tongling is situated in the Fanchang basin of the midlower Yangtze River metallogenic zone. Controlled by a subvolcanc crater, it is the first non-ferrous ore deposit ever found in the Fanchang volcanic rock basin, and is also a result of systematic analysis of silicified zone in the basin, bearing higher scientific research and production values. In recent years, the author organized work in the area and presented a resource 332+333of Pb-Zn ore at 675.87×104t, and Pb+Zn metal at 11.90×104t. This paper aimed to summarize geological features, ore genesis, ore-prospecting indicators and ore-forming pattern of PbZn deposits in the area, further enrich metallogenic model and theory for the area and provide a reference for ore prospecting in the area and even the whole Fanchang basin in the future.
