Clinical Efficacy of Yaobishu Decoction on Severe Lumbar Intervertebral Disc:A Clinical Observation of 241 Cases

Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of Yaobishu Decoction on lumber intervertebral disc.Methods:345 cases of patients with lumber intervertebral disc were divided into treatment group(group A,n=241) and control group(group B,n =91) randomly.Patients were given Yaobishu decoction(pack containing 125 mL),1 pack twice daily,each course of treatment consisting of 15 days,in the treatment group,and traction,massage and Celebrex,with a dosage of 200 mg once daily,in control group.Results:The clinical symptoms and signs improved both in treatment and control groups.The efficacy of 6 clinical symptoms and signs(straight-leg raising test etc) improved in treatment group with significant difference(P0.01);4 clinical symptoms and signs(sciatica etc) improved in treatment group with significant difference(P0.01).The improvement of 7 clinical symptoms and signs in treatment group were better than that in control group(P 0.01 or P 0.05).Conclusion:Yaobishu Decoction can provide accurate efficacy for severe lumber intervertebral disc,and the efficacy is better than the ef fect of Celebrex.
