Abstract
Objective To study the biological features and clinical value of acute leukemia with multi-lineages antigen expression. Methods Immunophenotyping was performed on bone marrow specimens of 99 acute leukemia patients by using three-color flow cytometry analysis and CD45/SSC gating. The scoring systems proposed by EGIL were adopted to classify. Results In 99 multi-lineages acute leukemia cases, there are 53.5% in myeloid superiority group,11.1% in lymph-lineage superiority group,15.2% in high co-expression group, and 20.2% in low co-expression group.Every group has different FAB result compared with others.Immunologically,co-expression of myeloid and T lineage associated antigens、myeloid and B lineage associated antigens were usually been found.CD7、CD19、CD33 were usually co-expressed antigens in multi-lineages acute leukemia. There are high leukemia cells counts in peripheral blood in low co-expression group compared with other groups. Conclusion Myeloid superiority is mainly component in multi-lineages acute leukemia.Immunophenotyping and FAB are not go all the way.Patients in low co-expression group may be more serious than other groups.
