Abstract

Objective To explore immunophenotyping specificities and clinical significance in acute leukemia.MethodsFlow cytometry and CD45/Side scatter(SSC)gating were used to analyze antigenic expressions in 62 cases of acute leukemia.ResultsThe antigens expressed in 32 patients with acute myeloid leukemia(AML)were mainly CD13,CD33,CD38,HLA-DR and CD117;Lymphoid antigen expression was identified in 28.1%AML patient,there was a significant difference between CD7+ and CD7-(P0.05)in the percent CR.In 23 patients with acute B-lymphoblastic leukemia(ALL),the expressed antigens were mainly CD19,HLA-DR,CD38,CD10,CD34,CD20,and 47.8%of these patients were found to be positive for myeloid antigen expression.There was no significant difference between CD13+ and CD13-(P0.05)in the percent CR.The antigens expressed in 3 T-patients with acute myeloid leukemia(AML)were mainly CD5,CD7,CD34,CD38.ConclusionImmuno1ogica1 classification by flow cytometry has important va1ue in therapy and prognosis of AL.
