Abstract

The term “shi” used in the field of literature comment, is from the theory of painting and calligraphy. In commenting this term, WANG Fu-zhi emphasizes the culture of physical and mental toleration and the artistic conception of holding limitless within small. His theory is more concrete, more practical than his ancestors, which is his greatest contribution.
