Clinical Observation of Reduced Glutathione Combined with Niaoduqing Granules in the Treatment of Chronic Renal Failure

Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To investigate clinical efficacy of reduced glutathione combined with Niaoduqing granules in the treatment of chronic renal failure.METHODS:80 patients with chronic renal failure were randomly divided into 2 groups with 40 cases in each group.All cases were given Niaoduqing granules and routine treatment,and the treatment group was additional given reduced glutathione.Blood urea nitrogen(BUN),serum creatinine(Scr),creatinine clearance rate(CCr),serum cystatin C(cystatin C) and other biochemical indicators of 2 groups were observed before and after treatment.RESULTS:The total efficiency of treatment group was 90.0%,and the control group was 67.5%.Treatment group was better than control group(P0.05).Compared with control group,the decrease of BUN,Scr and cystatin C levels and the increase of CCr levels in the treatment group were better than those of the control group(P0.05).CONCLUSION:Reduced glutathione combined with Niaoduqing granules is effective in the treatment of chronic renal failure.
