STUDY ON THE CLINICAL APPLICATION OF PIT AND FISSURE SEALANT

[Objective]To observe the clinical effect on the prevention of caries of pit and fissure sealant of light solidify.[Methods]The permanent teeth of 40 children were divided into two groups by side randomly.There were 216 teeth in either group,one was experimental group who were given pit and fissure sealant,the other was control group who were not given any treatment.All children were followed up for 1-3 years.[Results]The retention rate of sealant were all high.The incidence rates of caries in treated teeth was lower than that in control teeth(P﹤0.01).The depression rates of caries were 75%、90%、81.25% respectively.There was close relationship between caries and pit and fissure sealant.[Conclusions]Using pit and fissure sealant of light solidify can prevent children from pit and fissure caries.It is worthy of generalization.
