Forward Curative Effect of Sodium Hyaluronate in Treating Knee Joint Osteoarthritis

Objective To evaluate the forward curative effect of sodium hyaluronate in treatment of knee joint osteoarthritis.Methods With their consent,80 patients with knee joint osteoarthritis treated in our hospital between January 2009 and December 2009 were divided into observation group and control group.40 cases in the observation group received sodium hyaluronate,once per week,as a course of 5 weeks.At the same time,40 patients with the same baseline data in the control groups were given routine therapy.The long-term curative effect of the two groups was evaluated.Results The total effective rate 97.5%(39/40) of observation group was obviously better than that of the control group 72.5%(29/40),comparing the two groups,P 0.05,the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion With distinct long-term curative effect,sodium hyaluronate in the treatment of knee joint osteoarthritis can improve the quality of life and reduce the pain of the patients,so it is worth promoting.
