Abstract
Objective To investigate the changes in the immunological parameters in patients with chronic severe hepatitis B and the relationship with therapeutic efficacy in the near future. Methods Flow cytometry and immunoturbidimetry were used to determine T lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood, immunoglobulin G(IgG),50% complement hemolytic activity(CH50) and complement 3(C3) in 65 patients with chronic severe hepatitis B(severe hepatitis group) and 15 healthy controls(normal group). Results CD3+ and CD4+ T lymphocyte counts in the severe hepatitis group were lower than those in the normal group, and those of the patients with advanced stage were lower than those of the patients with early and middle stage(P0.05).CD4+/CD8+ ratio in the severe hepatitis group was higher than that in the normal group, and that of the patients with advanced stage was higher than that of the patients with early and middle stage(P0.05).IgG in the severe hepatitis group was significantly higher than that in the normal group, and that of the patients with advanced stage was higher than that of the patients with early and middle stage(P0.05).CH50 and C3 in the severe hepatitis group were lower than those in the normal group, and those of the patients with advanced stage were lower than those of the patients with early stage(P0.05).Conclusion The patients with chronic severe hepatitis B have disorder of immune function,i.e.lowered cellular immune function and humoral immune hyperfunction, and may aggravate with the progression of the disease.
