Abstract
To deeply know the traditional culcure is a historic mission for the modern Chinese intellectuals. As one of the most important neo Confucians, Zhang Junmai carried out a faily penatrating and systematic investigation into the Western and Chinese traditional cultures, on which basis he reflected upon China's modernization.
