Abstract

Objective To evaluate the response and major adverse reaction of OLF regimen [oxaliplatin(L-OHP)+calcium folinate(LV)+5-fluorouracil(5-Fu)] and LFP regimen[cisplatin(DDP)+LV+5-Fu] in the treatment of advanced gastric carcinoma. Methods Thirty-eight cases of advanced gastric carcinoma were treated with OLF regimen(L-OHP 130 mg/m2 iv gtt 0-3h,d1;LV 150 mg/m2 iv gtt 0-2 h,d1-d5;5-Fu 500 mg/m2 iv gtt 4 h,d1-d5).The other 42 cases were treated with FLP regimen(DDP 30mg/m2 iv gtt 4 h,d1-d3;LV 150 mg/m2 iv gtt 0-2 h,d1-d5;5-Fu 500 mg/m2 iv gtt 4 h,d1-d5).Both regimens were repeated every three weeks.Rusults The overall response rates of the OLF group and LFP group were 62.6% and 38.1% respectively. The time to progression(TTP)was 28 weeks and 22 weeks respectively(P0.05).Conclusion In contrast to the FLP group,OLF regimen was more effective in the treatment of advanced gastric carcinoma with a longer survive time and better quality of life.
