Utilization of Narcotic Analgesics in Our Hospital During 2009-2011

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the status quo and variation tendency of the utilization of narcotic analgesics in our hospital so as to provide reference for clinical rational use of this kind of drugs.METHODS: The narcotic analgesics used in our hospital from 2009 to 2011 were analyzed statistically in respect of consumption sum,DDDs and DDC etc.RESULTS: Over the 3 years,both the consumption sum and DDDs of narcotic analgesics increased year by year.The consumption amount of oral Morphine,Remifentanil Hydrochloride for Injection and Sufentanil Citrate for injection increased significantly,which were used primarily for conscious-sedation and analgesia before,during or after anesthesia.CONCLUSION: Directed by the three-step analgesic ladder approach for cancer pain,the application structure of narcotic drugs in our hospital has gradually become reasonable and the use of narcotic drugs was rational on the whole.
