The Essence of Confucian Culture

When we talked about Confucius before, we must mention Confucian classics, history of ancient Chinese library collection, philosophical works and literary works and say something about human relations and argumentation. People like focusing on Confucian benevolence Mencius disposition, Xun Zi's theory of vicious by nature. Dong Zi's theory of divine right of king, Shao Zi's taiji, Zhou Zi's morality and life, the two Cheng's heavenly principles, Lu Zi's met psychology, Zhu Zi's spirit and material. Wang chuanshan's knowledge came from practice and Wang Shouren's unity of knowledge and practice. etc. but in these arguments we ignored the details and emphasized too much the ideas of Confucians, while pay little attention on its shape. I think the essence of Confucius culture is based on the cultural contour. I think the essence of Confucius is based on the cultural contour: its pursuit of virtue, of honesty and benevolence; being contented about one's country; one's people and the whole world; emphasizing arts, ceremony and integrity; being afraid of heaven, earth and fate.
