Influence of "Pingchuan Decoction" on lung function in pationts with acute bronchial asthma

Abstract

Objective To observe the influence of Pingchuan Decoction on lung functions in pationts with acute bronchial asthma.Methods Ninety-three cases of acute bronchial asthma were randomized into two groups: control group in which 44 cases were treated by routine modality and treatment group in which 49 cases were treated by routine modality and Pingchuan Decoction,with a course of 14 days.Results The clinical control rate in the treatment group was 63.27%,higher than 43.18% in the control group(P0.01);after treatment,the lung functions were improved in both groups(P0.05),and the functions were improved more significantly in the treatment group than that in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Pingchuan Decoction can improve the lung functions in acute bronchial asthma.
