Abstract

Objective To investigate the infection characteristic and drug-resistance tendency of strains isolated from nosocomial infection patients with Stenotrophomonas maltophilia from 2006 to 2010,so as to provide evidence for clinical rational use of drugs. Methods A total of 120 patients with Stenotrophomonas maltophilia infection weres-tudied retrospectively from 2006 to 2010.The strains distributon and antibiotic resistance profiles were specifically analyzed. Results The annual trend of Stenotrophomonas maltop-hilia nosocomial infection was increasing. The 120 strains of Stenotrophomonas maltophilia were mainly islated from sputum(62.5%)specimens,and ICU was the main distribution department(44.17%).The resuh showed that Stenotrophomonas maltophilia had higher resistance rate to most drugs. Results Of susceptibility test showed that the resistance rate of the Stenotrophomonas mahophilia to all the 10 β-laetmns were high except cefoperazone/sulbaetam(lower than 33.4%)and Ticarcillin/clavulanic acid(lower than 50.0%).And the resistanee rate of gentamicin and amikaein were both higher than 85.0%.The resistance rate of minocycline was the lowest(lower than 7.0%)among all the antibioties, followed by levofloxacin and suffamethoxazole/trimethoprim,both lower than 25.0%.Conclusion It is indicated that the infection rate of the Stenotrophomonas maltophilia is increasing year after year. And the Stenotrophomonas mahophilia is highly resistant to the common antibiotics,so there are few antibiotics for the clinicians to choose. The pathogenic inspect is recommended as early as possible and rationally choose antibiotics according to the drug susceptibility in order to avoid the outbreak of the nosoeomial infection.
