Abstract
The analysis of historical situation of flooding and drought disasters in Hebei province shows that drought disaster gets serious when flooding disaster becomes mitigatory and drought disaster is a main natural disaster in Hebei province. The spatial-temporal distribution law of flooding and drought disasters is discussed. The results indicate that flooding and drought disasters have seasonal, periodical and durative cha-racteristics in time and regional characteristics in space. The research provides a scientific basis for disaster prevention and reduction in the future.
