Investigation on Current Situation of Professional Development of Elementary Mathematics Teachers——A Case Study of Some Elementary Schools in Changsha,Hunan Province

Teachers' specialization is not only closely related to the training of new teacher and in-service teacher,the professional development of teacher,but also a key issue related to the reformation of primary education and implementation of new curriculum.In the present work,several important existing problems in professional development of elementary mathematics teachers were addressed according to the analysis of current situation of professional development of elementary mathematics teachers in some elementary schools in Changsha,Hunan province.Consequently,three crucial things need to be done in the future to solve these existing problems.Firstly,changing education conception to improve the understanding of professional development of elementary mathematics teachers;secondly,basing on school-based teaching and research to establish a good platform for professional development of elementary mathematics teachers;last but not the least,perfecting the evaluation system to promote the professional development of elementary mathematics teachers.
