Abstract

In this paper,the distribution of catechin in 13 different lotus cultivars was studied.The results indicated that the distribution of catechin in lotus was uneven in different tissues.The content of catechin in lotus leaf are obviously higher than that of other tissues.The content degree of catehin in lotus tissues was lotus leaf lotus root lotus stem.Moreover,there were significant difference among different cultivars in catechin content as well as in different sizes of lotus leaf.However,there was no significant difference in lotus stem of catechin content.For the lotus rhizome,the content of catechin in the lotus rhizome node was higher than that of the other parts of the root.The content of catechin in lotus rhizome was lotus rhizome node tail part of lotus rhizome head part of lotus rhizome middle part of lotus rhizome.
