Abstract

The principle of education secularization is carried out in France.Religious education is not allowed in public schools by the state.Developing citizen ability and learning to live together are focuses of citizenship education in France.The basic objective of citizenship education in primary schools is to enable every student to evolving into a class and school life better in the gradual formation process of personality features and independence.Citizenship education in junior high school considers the basic rights of human as the core objective,focusing on cultivation of human and citizen.The concept of citizenship in the real world is deeply analyzed and put into practice in the citizenship education of high school.School violence and social inequality are the challenges of citizenship education in France.
