Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical efficacy of Reduced Glutathione for chronic hepatitis B. METHODS:116 cases of chronic hepatitis B patients were randomly assigned to receive Diammonium Glycyrrhizinate Injection and Vitamins iv gtt alone (control group,n=58) or in combination with Reduced Glutathione at dose of 1 200 mg q.d for 30 days (treatment group,n=58). The symptoms and signs and hepatic biochemical index were compared before and after treatment. RESULTS:The improvement of hepatic biochemical index of chronic hepatitis B in the treatment group was better than in the control group (P0.05),and the effective rate was also higher than in the control group (P0.05). CONCLUSION:Reduced Glutathione is an important antioxidant, which contributes to the stability of hepatocellular membrane. Therefore,it can be applied to treat chronic hepatitis B clinically.
