Abstract

[Objective] The research aimed to study the determination method of total flavonoids content in F.philippinensis from different producing areas by visible light and ultraviolet spectrophotometry.[Method] By using visible light spectrophotometry, with rutin as reference substance and aluminum nitrate as chromogenic reagent, the content of total flavonoids was determined at the wavelength of 510 nm.By using ultraviolet spectrophotometry, with rutin as reference substance, the content of total flavonoids was determined at the wavelength of 355 nm.[Result] The average recovery by visible light method was 99.68%,with RSD of 1.37%.The average recovery by ultraviolet spectrophotometry was 99.07%,with RSD of 0.94%.[Conclusion] Ultraviolet spectrophotometry is a kind of more ideal determination method of total flavonoids in F.philippinensis.
