CITATION ANALYSIS OF CHINESE JOURNAL OF DRUG DEPENDENCE FROM 2001 TO 2003

Abstract

Objective: To understand the citation pattern of Chinese Journal of Drug Dependence(CJDD),and analyze the characteristics of literature request of the scientists working in the field. Methods: The citation analysis was used to analyze the references cited in 322 articles in CJDD from 2001-2003. Results: Citation rate was 74.22%,and the mean citations per article were 6.67. The main types of citations were journals(81.01%) and books(15.08%). The price index was 48.21%,the self-citation rate was 7.31%. The references from the high-ranked 15 journals accounted for 38.60%. Conclusion: The articles in CJDD concern lots of journals in the biomedicine,most citations are from journals,and the half-cited life is longer than other journals,which means the recent-published articles should be cited more by researchers and citation rate should be improved.
