Abstract
The bark percentage, heartwood percentage and density of Manglietia glauca were studied. The green volume was tested by drainage, and bark percentage included bark volume percentage and bark quality percentage. The results showed that the green density decreased from pith to sapwood and increased as the increase of tree height, with an average of 0.873 g·cm-3.The basic density increased from pith to sapwood, and had a trend of big-small-big-small as the increase of tree height with an average of 0.408 g·cm-3.The moisture content of green wood decreased from pith to sapwood, and had a trend of small-big-small-big,with an average of 115.3%.The bark volume percentage and bark quality percentage increased with the increase of tree height, and bark volume percentage and bark quality were 16.6% and 19.0%,respectively.The heartwood percentage decreased with the increase of tree height, and with an average of 9.5%.
