Clinical Effects of “Huosu Yangwei Oral Liquid”on Chronic Atrophic Gastritis of Qi and Yin Deficiency Pattern

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy ofHuosu Yangwei Oral Liquidfor chronic atrophic gastritis( CAG) of qi and yin deficiency pattern. Methods: One hundred and eight patients with CAG of qi and yin deficiency pattern were randomly divided into treatment group( n = 72) and control group( n = 36) according to 2 ∶ 1 ratio. The treatment group was treated by Huosu Yangwei Oral Liquidand the control group was treated byWeifuchun Tablet,with a course of 12 weeks. The main clinical symptoms and the endoscopic effects were observed. Results: After treatment,the remarkably effective rate and the total effective rate of treatment group were 72. 22% and 94. 44% respectively,and the remarkably effective rate and the total effective rate of control group were 38. 89% and 91. 67% respectively,with statistical difference between the two groups( P =0. 001). After treatment,the main clinical symptoms of both groups were obviously improved( P 0. 05),and the improvement of the symptoms including eructation,poor appetite,glouglou,and thirsty and bitter taste in treatment group was better than that in control group( P 0. 05). The improvement of glandular atrophy in treatment group was better than that in control group( P = 0. 034),and there was no statistical difference between two groups in the improvement of intestinal metaplasia. Conclusion: Huosu Yangwei Oral Liquid can improve the clinical symptoms and the glandular atrophy of patients with CAG.
