Effects of Yiqi Chutan Decoction on Chemotherapy-Related Fatigue of Patients with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Objective: To investigate the prevention and treat effects of Yiqi Chutan decoction on Chemotherapy-Related Fa-tigue(CRF) of patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Method: The 83 patients with non-small cell lung cancer were random-ly divided into treatment group(41 cases) and control group(42cases) according to the degree of fatigue. The treatment group was given Yiqi Chutan Decoction combined with DP/GP, while the control group received DP/GP only. After two treatment cy-cles, the scores of BFI, EORTC QTQ-LC43 and bone marrow function were observed. Results: The incidence of moderately se-vere CRF, the self scores of adverse reactions such as nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea of the treatment group were significantly lower than the control group. The hemoglobin concentration and the number of white blood cells in treatment group fallen much less than the control group, the differences were statistically significant( P0.05). Conclusion: Yiqi Chutan decoction can alleviate CRF, reduce the chemotherapy related adverse reaction, and improve the quality of life of the patients.
