On the History and the Basic Experience of Chinese Attending Expos

Chinese attending Expos began with Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of all Nations in 1851.When China customs organized exhibits for Expos on Qing Dynasty’s behalf,Chinese scholars and officials always attended Expos,their Chinese works added glory to Expos.Following the idea progress of Expos,the Chinese had a dream of a strong China by holding Expos,and worked hard for it in the period of the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic.This paper tries to make a study of the Chinese attending Expos in 1851-1940,including Chinese common people at Expos,and draw some historical experience.
