The Brief History of Chinese Science Education from Later Qing Dynasty to Early the Republic of China

Chinese modern science education,which stated from later Qing Dynasty had been developing very fast till early the Republic of China.The idea of Chinese modern science education changed fromChinese study for body,Western study for usage, attaching importance to appliance science education to normal science education.Most of the science teachers in later Qing Dynasty are foreigners,but more and more Chinese students,who finished their study abroad or just in China,joined in the staff in early the Republic of China.The tide of studying abroad in Japan made a great contribution to bringing up many science teachers for science dissemination education and building a large quantity of science textbooks.Carding the brief history of Chinese science education from later Qing Dynasty to early the Republic of China,we can learn the educational collision and amalgamation between western countries and China,which offers us the reference when we are making the reform of science education now.
