Abstract
ObjectiveTo compare the effect venlafaxine plus cognitive therapy in the treatment of post-stroke depression.Methods82 patients with post-stroke depression were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, the treatment group were given venlafaxine plus cognitive therapy, the control group were given venlafaxine only for treatment of 3 months. The efficacy was assessed by Hamailton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD). The side effects were assessed by treatment Emergent Symptoms Scale (TESS).ResultsThe rating of HAMD of the treatment group was significantly lower after 1 month and 3 months than that of the control group (P0.05, P0.01).The therapeutic efficacy in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group(P0.05).ConclusionVenlafaxine plus cognitive therapy has better effect in treatment of post-stroke depression.
