Clinical effects of seretide combined with doxofyiline on bronchial asthma

Objective To observe the effects of scretide(salmeterol xinafoate and fluticasone propionate powder for inhalation) combined with doxofyilinc on bronchial asthma.Methods 52 cases of moderate or serious bronchial asthma randomly were divided into control and treatment group.On the basis of theraphy,24 patients in control group were treated by seretide powder inhalation 50/250μg twice a day.Meanwhile the other 28 patients in treatment group were treated by seretide powder inhalation with the same dose as control group,and doxofyiline 400mg/d,with a treatment course of 12 weeks for both groups.The clinical symptoms and pulmonary function,such as FEV1.0 and PEF were deteced before and after teatment.ResultsIn two groups,the total effective rate was 83.33% and 92.85%,respectively.The pulmonary function of two groups were improved after treated with seretide alone or combined with doxofyiline for 12 weeks,with FEV1% was(66.92±6.79) and(71.71±9.90) respectively.The PEF% was(20.54±2.27) and(19.07±2.85),respectively.Moreover,the pulmonary function of treatment group was improved more singnificantly than that of control group.Conclusion The seretide combined with doxofyiline has a more prominently effect on pulmonary function improvement than that of seretida alone.
