Abstract

Pidgeon's reduction method is widely adopted in the production of magnesium in China. The state of energy utilization of Pidgeon's magnesium reduction process is systematically analyzed. It is known that the thermal efficiency is very low in the process of Pidgeon's magnesium reduction. Some resonable measures are brought to light for energy_saving of the thermal equipments used in Pidgeon's magnesium reduction process.
