Abstract
Magnesium smelting industry was a high energy consumption enterprise,and the energy consumption was concentrated in the calcined dolomite and vacuum to restore the two parts of magnesium,while the latter was more prominent.The analysis showed that Pidgeon process magnesium reduction furnace rotary kiln made a large energy consumption and low productivity,so that room for improvement in these two parts of the saving energy was more large.According to the energy consumption of process and equipment situation,from the furnace structure,ways to restore the tank arrangement and the usage of the heat recovery device and so on,a number of specific energy saving programs were made.
