Abstract
The present work is to investigate the effect of CaF2 on the synthesis and performance of belite-calcium barium sulphoaluminate cement system. Calcium barium sulphoaluminate (C2.75B1.25A3) with high early strength was added in belite cement clinker system. The results show that suitable amount of CaF2 can benefit f-CaO combination and formation of C2.75B1.25A3.The appropriate CaF2 content is 0.6% in the system. The compressive strength of the cement prepared under the experimental conditions reaches to 26.8 MPa and 83.4 MPa at 3d and 28d curing ages, respectively. The mineral constituents and structures of the clinker were analyzed by means of XRD,SEM-EDS and light microscope.
