Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between the H/L,P/Q polymorphisms of the MBL gene with the susceptibility of TB in Xinjiang Uighurs population. Methods The correlation between the H/L,P/Q polymorphisms of the MBL gene with the susceptibility of TB in Xinjiang Uighurs was studied by PCR-SSP among 226 patients and 231 healthy controls who had been contacted with the circum-stance which was full of mycobacterium tuberculosis. Results There was no significant difference in the frequency of MBL-H/L mutation genotype of the tuberculosis patients and healthy controls(OR = 1.600,95% CI:1.020 ~ 2.511,P = 0.040,P c = 0.0520.05),while the fre-quency was 25.66% and 18.18%,respectively.There was no significant difference in the frequency of MBL-P/Q mutation genotype of the tuberculosis patients and healthy controls(OR = 0.979,95% CI:0.541 ~ 1.797,P = 0.050,P c = 0.9940.05),while the frequence was 10.62% and 10.82%,respectively.The intersection coefficient of the patients between the H/L genotype with A/B genotype was 0.018,and the P val-ue was 0.0060.05.In Xinjiang Uighurs population there were four types of haplotype as follows:HPA,LPA,LPB,LQA.Conclusion The H/L,P/Q polymorphisms of MBL gene are not associated with the susceptibility of TB in Xinjiang Uighurs population. It exists the interlock unbalance between the H/L,P/Q polymorphisms of MBL gene with A/B in Xinjiang Uighurs population, and the H/L maybe contain an in clination of forwarddirection interaction with the A/B.
