Correlation investigation on the missed abortion and infections of ureaplasma urealyticum and chlamydia trachomatis in 127 cases

Abstract

Objective:To investigate the correlation between the infections of ureaplasma urealyticum(UU) and chlamydia trachomatis(CT) and incomplete abortion.Methods:The endocervical secretions were detected in 127 women with incomplete abortion for the UU and CT and another 86 of normal early pregnancies were recruited as controls.Results:The UU was detected in 72 of the 127 women(56.7%) and 26 of the 86 control subjects(30.2%).No CT was detected in either group,and the two groups were statistically different(P0.001).Conclusion:Infections of UU appears responsible for the missed abortion in women living in Anqing city,for which the patients should be subjected to close clinical monitoring and immediate intervention.
