Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To analyze the problems of the outpatient prescriptions,improve the prescription quality,promote rational drug use and reduce the incidence of adverse drug reactions(ADR).METHODS:The outpatient prescriptions in our hospital from 2007 to 2009 were statistically analyzed in respects of standardization of prescriptions,usage and dosage,dosage regimen,drug combination,repeated drug use etc.RESULTS:The problems of the outpatient prescriptions manifested as nonstandard in prescription writing and irrational in drug use.CONCLUSION:Learning on Prescription Management Method and the drug package inserts should be emphasized among clinicians and pharmacists so as to improve clinicians' ability in prescription writing and rational drug use and improve pharmacist's ability in checking prescriptions.
