CT perfusion imaging analysis on normal pancreas using 320-detector row dynamic volume CT

Abstract

Objective:To explore the characteristics of perfusion imaging of normal pancreas using320-detector row dynamic volume CT,and discuss the relationship between normal pancreatic arterial flow(AF)value and age,gender,height,weight and BMI values.Methods:Twenty-six subjects including20 patients with non-pancreatic disease and 6healthy volunteers underwent 320-detector row CT perfusion imaging for pancreas.Data was analyzed with maximum slope method.Results:The time density curve(TDC)of normal pancreatic tissue all showed slow rise and slow decline,and perfusion peak could be clearly visualized.The AF value of the head of pancreas was(152.54±35.34)ml/(min·100ml),the body was(155.67±29.54)ml/(min·100ml),and the tail was(159.79±33.04)ml/(min·100ml).They were not statistically different(P0.05).The AF values for the subjects aged below 40,40 to 60,and above 60,were(158.75±35.30)ml/(min·100ml),(156.67±40.61)ml/(min·100m),and(154.09±27.82)ml/(min·100 ml)respectively,and no statistical difference was observed(P 0.05).However,the declining tendency with increased age was obvious.The correlation analysis showed that there were no correlation between AF value and age,gender,height,weight and BMI values(P0.05).Conclusion:Each part of the normal pancreas in perfusion imaging shows no difference.The AF value of normal pancreas decreases with increased age and the AF value is not influenced by individual factors.
