Expression of MUC1Mucin in Ovarian Carcinoma

Abstract

To investigate the expression of MUC1mucin in ovarian carcinoma and its clinical significance.The expression of MUC1were detected by immunohistochemical technique in115cases of ovarian carcinoma.With the increasing of the malignant degree,the level of the MUC1in the mucinous ovarian tumor patients was enhancing.Over expression of MUC1and high ratio expression with cell entoplasm were significantly correlated with pathologic classification,FIGO staging,lymph node metastasis and short survival.[Conclusions]The expression of MUC1may be useful for evaluating the malignant potential and as a marker to assess the prognosis for ovarian carcinoma.
