Abstract

To investigate the effect of tea polyphenols and carnitine preparation on plasma lipid levels of hyperlipidemic rats.SD rats were fed high fat diet and established as preventive hyperlipidemia model,the experimental rats were divided into normal control group,model group,low dose group,middle dose group and high dose group.After 45 days continuous oral administration,the effect of tea polyphenols and carnitine preparation on serum triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC) and high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) of hyperlipidemic rats were discussed.Compared with normal control group,serum TG and TC of model control group with high fat diet increased significantly(P0.01) after 45 days;Compared with model control group,after 45 days administration,1) serum TG of low dose group was not significantly lower(P0.05);serum TG of middle and high dose groups was significantly reduced(P0.01);2) serum TC of low dose group was significantly lower(P 0.05),serum TC of middle and high dose groups decreased significantly(P 0.01);3) serum HDL-C of all groups has no significant difference.Tea polyphenols and carnitine preparation can reduce blood lipid.
