Abstract
Leaching of manganese from manganese carbonate ore from Ghana by one stage acid leaching was studied. The effects of leaching temperature, acid concentration and leaching time on leaching of manganese were examined. The results showed that increasing of leaching temperature and acid concentration could remarkably enhance the leaching rate of manganese, among which the effect of temperature was most obvious.Manganese leaching of 93.99% and residual acid concentration of 4.08 g/L were obtained under the conditions of agitation of 180 r/min,acid ore mass ration of 1∶0.7,60 ℃ and leaching time of 4 h.
