Abstract
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of Insulin combined with the different oral hypoglycemic agents in the treatment of elderly patients with diabetes.Method:According to a stratified randomization method,93 cases of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes were divided into the observation group and the control group in our hospital, the control group were given insulin glargine and rosiglitazone, the observation group were given insulin glargine and nateglinide, two groups of HbA1c,FBG,2 h PG,the incidence of hypoglycemia, recovering time of blood glucose and insulin dosage were observed. Result:The blood glucose up to normal levels of time was(5.1±1.3)d in the observation group and(8.3±1.5)d in the control group(P0.05),the incidence of hypoglycemia was 12.5%(7/56) in the observation group and 32.4%(12/37) in the control group(P0.05),the observation group was significantly better than the control group in HbA1c and 2 h PG,the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion:Insulin combined nateglinide can significantly reduce the incidence of hypoglycemia and control the postprandial glucose levels,it has important clinical value.
