Research on Strategy of Design for Mass Customization Based on Postponement Module

Improving economy of scope and economics of scale is the key concept of mass customization,and postponement strategy is the key technology.Based on discussion of postponement feature of mass customization and combination of modular theory and postponement strategy during design phase,a concept of postponement module was put forward.Strategy of design for mass customization was advanced based on postponement module,then a prototype system was developed.The system is applicable effectivly for some enterprise of hydaulic disk brake for motorcycle.
