Acute Toxicity of Ivermectin and Avermectin on Rhodeus sinensis

Abstract
[Objective] The aim was to discuss the acute toxicity of ivermectin and avermectin on Rhodeus sinensis.[Method] The LC50 and safety concentration of ivermectin and avermectin on R.sinensis in fresh water were investigated.[Result] The LC50 of ivermectin with concentration of 6% against R.sinensis at 24,48,72 and 96 h were 71.68,45.04,37.81 and 35.69 μg/L respectively,and the safe concentration was 0.001 3 μg/L.The LC50 of avermectin with concentration of 1% against R.sinensis at 24,48,72 and 96 h were 129.35,77.35,47.54 and 34.63 μg/L respectively,and the safe concentration was 0.000 2 μg/L.[Conclusion] R.sinensis was very sensitive to insecticides of ivermectin and avermectin.It indicated that it must be caution of ivermectin and avermectin injury on R.sinensis.
