Abstract
Objective:To investigate the relationship between sperm nuclear maturity and sperm morphology and explore the mechanism of the abnormal morphological sperm.Methods:55 Semen samples were collected, including 36 teratozoospermia men and 19 fertile men.Sperm concentration and motility were analyzed with CASA.Sperm viability was detected after Eosin staining.Semen WBC concentration was tested after Benzedrine staining.Sperm morphology were analyzed according to Modified Papanicolaou staining.Sperm nuclear maturity was evaluated using aniline blue staining. Results:The percentage of sperm with positive aniline blue stain in teratozoospermia group was significantly higher than that in control group(P0.05).Comparing with normal morphological sperm group, the rate of sperm with positive aniline blue stain significantly increased in head defects sperm group,as well as in neck/midpiece defects sperm group, tail defects sperm group, irregularity sperm group and other abnormal sperm group(P0.05).Conclusion:Sperm nuclear maturity will be related with sperm morphology and abnormal sperm nuclear maturity can result abnormal morphological sperm.
