Abstract
Objective To investigate the protective effect of Jinkui Weiyao( JK) on acute gastric mucosal lesion in rats. Methods The rat model of gastric mucosal lesion was induced by ligating pylorus. The lesion of mucous membrane was observed and the secretion of gastric juice was measured in each experimental group. Results Compared with the model group , JK ( 90, 180, 360 mg/kg ) could reduce the acute gastric mucosal lesion in rats to different degrees, decrease the secretion of gastric juice and inhibit the pepsin activity; meanwhile JK could lower the acidity of gastric juice but the difference was insignificant. Conclusion JK has a protective effect on acute gastric mucosal lesion in rats, its therapeutic mechanism is related to the decrease of aggressive factors attacking to gastric mucosa.
