Abstract

Objective To investigate the Mycoplasma infection in females with genital tract inflammation and its resistance to antibiotics. Methods The Mycoplasma was cultured and identified in 260 female patients with genital tract inflammation, and the susceptibility test was performed in positive patients. Results Of 260 patients with genital tract inflammation,134( 51. 54% ) were infected with Mycoplasma. The infection rates of Ureaplasma urealyticum ( Uu) and Uu + Mycoplasma hominis ( Mh) were 41. 54% ( 108 /260) and 10. 00% ( 26 /260) ,respectively. The susceptibility of 108 patients infected with Uu were relatively high to doxcycline, josamycin and clarithromycin and low to spectinomycin, ciprofloxacin and acetylspiramycin. The susceptibility of 26 patients infected with Uu + Mh was low to ciprofloxacin, acetylspiramycin, spectinomycin erythromycin, roxithromycin, ofloxacin, azithromycin, sparfloxacin. Conclusion The infection rate of Uu is higher in the female genital tract inflammation and Mh is more often detected with Uu infection. The laboratory test and drug sensitivity test will provide a basis for the clinical treatment.
