Abstract

Objective:To find out the functions of the IgM and IgG antibody in diagnosing measles.Methods:To detect special IgM and IgG antibody of serum samples of suspicious measles patients with the testing kits,and cultivate the virus in pharynx mop samples of the suspicious measles patients.Results:With the method of detecting IgG antibody of double samples of one patient,in one measles breaking out spot,11 of 22 suspicious measles patients were diagnosed.Out of the 11 measles patients,5 persons had the measles IgM antibody in blood,and the measles virus was cultivated in pharynx mop samples of 2 persons(one of them,measles IgM antibody of blood sample was negative).Conclusion:With the result of IgM detecting,the rate of omitted diagnose for measles might be very high,but with the result of virus cultivating,the rate of omitted diagnose for measles might be much higher.The available method for diagnosing measles could be detecting IgG antibody in the blood of acute and getting back phases.
